Newly created position will provide additional alignment and versatility to HR functions
Houston, Nov. 13, 2017 – Bureau Veritas today announced it has hired Goldie Arriola as chief human resources officer (CHRO) and vice president. Arriola has more than 10 years of experience in multiple facets of human resources, specifically in the energy and oil and gas industries.
In this newly created role, she will be responsible for bringing greater alignment to Bureau Veritas’ business operations, accelerating the on-boarding process for open positions, ensuring the company offers competitive benefits packages and providing strategic oversight to enhance the corporate culture.

Formerly, Arriola served as the vice president of human resources for the oilfield service provider, Bayou Well Services. While in her role, Arriola achieved the development and implementation of human resources standards that were aligned with the operational strategies of the company. Prior to this, Arriola also served as vice president of human resources for Edgen Murray where she supported the business through two major organizational restructures. In this same role, she also led compliance and training activities for a global distributor of steel products with revenues in over 35 global locations totaling over $2BB. Arriola also worked for Stallion Oilfield Services in acquisition assimilation where she helped integrate and train over 40 offices in the southern and northern United States.
Arriola earned her bachelor of science in technology, human resources development with a minor in psychology from the University of Houston. Currently, she serves as chair of the Human Resource Development Advisory Board at the University of Houston.
