Rig Crew Failure Prevention
The objective of the Rig Crew Failure Prevention training is to promote improvements in rig practices for running, handling, storing and maintaining rig equipment. The four-hour class is directed at all levels from floor hand to rig superintendent.
By promoting constructive dialogue among rig personnel at all levels in a classroom environment, many questions and concerns can be addressed and resolved that daily operations and the pressures of time constraints and meeting drilling goals may place on the back burner. To alleviate this we can provide training which provides participants with a basic understanding of failure mechanisms, their common causes and the procedures which can be applied to minimize their effect on the drilling process. This is developed by emphasizing the critical aspects of failure recognition and prevention which is covered by our formal training course based on the DS-1.
Additionally, specific recommendations may be presented for optimal handling practices for drill pipe with the objective of reducing connection damage and improving drill string performance. Please contact Bureau Veritas at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss your rig site training needs.
