Helping the forestry industry leave a "Green Footprint"
Today, preserving resources and the environment are top concerns for businesses and consumers. A certified management system helps timber production units and manufacturers incorporate sustainable business practices into their daily operations, assuring a brighter future for the industry.
Bureau Veritas Certification offers two types of forestry certifications:
-
FSC, SFI or PEFC Chain of Custody, a wood origin traceability certification for companies using products originating from the forest (i.e. furniture manufacturers, publishers, pulp industries). FSC Certification also fills a requirement for LEED credits.
-
Forest Management, for companies that manage natural or planted forests, also available to supply chain partners. Bureau Veritas offers: FSC Land Management, SFI 2010-2014, and American Tree Farm (ATF).
