CE MARKING
Throughout the world there are various ways to indicate how products conform to specified requirements. The CE marking symbolizes the conformity of the product with the applicable community requirements imposed on the manufacturer. Product conformity assessment ensures that products, materials, services, processes and systems are in compliance with specifications, regulations and industry standards. This process is performed by sampling, testing and/or inspection of the products. The results are then verified against approved standards and in turn a declaration or certification stating the product is in compliance is issued.
Both the United States and the European Union have multiple regulations to ensure conformity with applicable Community requirements. By affixing the CE marking, the manufacturer, or its representative, or the importer assures that the item meets all the essential requirements of all applicable EU directives.
