ENERGY CODE COMPLIANCE

Business Challenge

Although the energy code has been around for many years, a number of organizations continue to find it difficult to meet or exceed the state and local energy code without exceeding their budget.  Energy efficiency is important, and required, but it can also be costly in the short-term.  To remain competitive in the marketplace, builders and developers must minimize their costs.

Additionally, an energy code compliance report and inspections are required for verification.  Many jurisdictions require proof of compliance before they will issue a certificate of occupancy.  Furthermore, the inspections are often required to be performed by a code certified inspector.

Solution

What is the International Energy Conservation Code?
The International Energy Conservation Code describes the provisions for designing and constructing energy efficient facilities through envelope design, mechanical systems, lighting systems, and the use of new materials and techniques.

.
What are the key benefits?
Energy-efficient buildings improve the lives of Americans by saving consumers money, lessening our demand for fossil fuels, decreasing the need for new power generation, and reducing environmental emissions.
