Business Challenge
To obtain the CE Marking, all construction products that are to be incorporated in a permanent manner in any kind of construction works, have to meet requirements of the European Union's 89/106 Construction Product Directive and corresponding harmonized standards.
The specific process varies according to the product and its intended use in the construction works. Entities involved in this process include the manufacturer and the independent notified body. Their respective tasks are defined according to the European Community Administration.
