The Bureau Veritas Laboratory network consists of three centers of excellence with various industrial hygiene capabilities. The main laboratory for industrial hygiene analysis is in Novi, MI, method development and pharmaceuticals are in Lake Zurich, IL, and asbestos and materials characterization work is performed in Kennesaw, GA.
We perform a wide variety of conventional and non-routine industrial hygiene analyses, following published NIOSH and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) methods. We have leveraged our experience in conventional analyses to internally develop more than 600 industrial hygiene methods for industry-specific chemicals. Additionally, we have been supporting the work of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) as their contract laboratory since 2005.
More importantly, our state-of-the-art instrumentation is managed by experienced staff members, who understand the nuances of chemical and microscopy analyses. Our staff members include Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and experts with doctorate degrees in chemistry and mycology.
Between the three laboratories, we are accredited in the three major programs offered by the American Industrial Hygiene Association Laboratory Accreditation Programs, LLC (AIHA-LAP, LLC):
• Industrial hygiene (IHLAP)
• Environmental lead (ELLAP)
• Environmental microbiology (EMLAP)
Bureau Veritas’ Novi, MI and Lake Zurich, IL laboratories received their first accreditation at the inception of the AIHA-LAP, LLC program, 35 years ago. Details for each location can be found on our Accreditations page, or at http://www.aihaaccreditedlabs.org/Pages/default.aspx
